10-5-19 The Anaheim Ducks improved to 2-0-0 to start a season for the fourth time in franchise history with a 3-1 win over the San Jose Sharks at Honda Center. The Ducks became the third Western Conference team to begin the season 2-0-0, joining Vegas and Colorado (Edmonton later won to also move to 2-0-0).

10-5-19 Ryan Getzlaf’s tally represented his 51st career game-winning goal, which ranks third among all-time franchise leaders behind only Teemu Selanne (77) and Corey Perry (64).

10-5-19 Michael Del Zotto opened the scoring for Anaheim with his first goal as a Duck at the 14:32 mark of the first period.

10-5-19 John Gibson made 35 saves to earn his second victory of the season in as many contests. Through two games, Gibson has stopped 67 of 69 shots for a 1.00 GAA and .971 SV%.

10-11-19-Captain Ryan Getzlaf played his 989th game for Anaheim, passing former linemate Corey Perry, now of the Dallas Stars, for the most in its history. …

10-11-19- The Anaheim Ducks matched the best start in their history. They had been 4-1-0 three times, most recently in 2014-15, when they started 7-1-0. The win improved their record to 4-1-0 (eight points) this season, matching the best start in franchise history (four other occasions)

10-11-19-With the goal, Jakob Silfverberg tied Sammy Pahlsson (13) for fifth on the franchise’s all-time shorthanded points list.

10-11-19- It was Cam Fowler‘s 60th career goal, placing him in a tie with Scott Niedermayer for the all-time franchise lead for goals by defensemen.

10-16-19- The Anaheim Ducks improved their home record to 3-0-0 and overall mark to 5-2-0 following a 5-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres at Honda Center. They’ve started their season with three straight home wins for the fourth time in franchise history and first time since 2014-15. Anaheim has allowed the fewest goals (12 GA) over the first seven games of a season in franchise history (previously 13 GA in 2006-07).

10-16-19- Ryan Getzlaf gave the Ducks the lead in the second period with a power-play goal, marking Anaheim’s first tally with the man advantage this season. The goal also represented Getzlaf’s 52nd career game-winner, which ranks third among all-time franchise leaders (Selanne first with 77, Perry second with 64).

10-18-19- Appearing in his 500th career NHL game, Jakob Silfverberg scored his second goal in as many games and his fourth of the season 37 seconds into the second period. With the goal, Silfverberg has points in three of four games (3-2=5) along with a +8 rating.

10-29-19- The Anaheim Ducks set a season-high for goals scored as they improved to 5-1-0 at home with a 7-4 win over the Winnipeg Jets at Honda Center. With the victory, Anaheim matched its second-best home start in franchise history (third time, last: 2012-13) and best since a franchise-record 6-0-0 start in 2013-14. Anaheim’s seven goals marked the highest offensive output for the club since an 8-2 victory March 8, 2019 vs. Montreal.

10-29-19- Cam Fowler became the franchise’s all-time leader in goals by a defenseman with his 61st career tally, passing Scott Niedermayer (60). Fowler holds club records in goals, assists (218) and points (279) by a defenseman. He leads Anaheim blueliners with three goals this season.

10-29-19- Jakob Silfverberg posted his third multi-point game of the season with two assists tonight. Silfverberg leads the Ducks in points (11), co-leads in plus/minus (+11) and ranks tied for second in goals (6) and assists (5).

10-29-19-Nicolas Deslauriers recorded first NHL assist which marked his first point as a Duck.

10-29-19-John Gibson stopped 36-of-40 shots to earn his fifth victory of the season. Gibson has four wins in five starts on home ice this season.

11-1-19- Playing in his 999th career game, Ryan Getzlaf scored the game-winning goal at the 2:30 mark of overtime, giving Anaheim its first victory in extra time this season. The goal marked Getzlaf’s club-record 10th career overtime goal and his 54th career game-winning goal.

11-1-19- Jakob Silfverberg scored his 10th career shorthanded goal to pass Sammy Pahlsson for third among Ducks all-time leaders. Silfverberg leads the Ducks in points (7-5=12) and ranks tied for second in goals (7) and second in plus/minus (+11).

11-1-19- John Gibson also assisted on the overtime game-winning goal, marking the 40th assist by a goaltender in Ducks history and the fourth of Gibson’s career.

11-3-19- Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf became the first Duck in franchise history to reach 1,000 games. Getzlaf is the sixth NHL player in the last 40 NHL seasons to play their first 1,000 games with one franchise and win 548 (or more) of them (548-333-119). Getzlaf is also the eighth active player to appear in his first 1,000 career games with the same team, and the 53rd all-time (19th as a center). Getzlaf surpassed Corey Perry (988) for the all-time franchise lead in games played with his 989th career NHL appearance Oct. 11 at Columbus. Getzlaf leads the franchise in appearances and is followed by Perry (second), Teemu Selanne (third at 966 games), Cam Fowler (fourth at 635) and Steve Rucchin (fifth at 616).

11-3-19- Ryan Getzlaf collected his 934th career point (268-666=934) with an assist on Sam Steel‘s second-period goal, extending his point streak to five games (4-2=6).

11-3-19- Tonight marked Anaheim Ducks 2,000th game in club history. The Ducks hold an all-time record of 953-777-270 and rank 10th among NHL teams in points (2,176) since their debut.

11-3-19- Erik Gudbranson scored his first goal of the season, marking his first point as a Duck.

11-5-19- Jacob Larsson scored his first career NHL goal at the 1:52 mark of the second period. Larsson’s goal represented his seventh career NHL point.

11-12-19- Twenty-nine seconds after Silfverberg’s goal, Josh Mahura scored his first goal of the season

11-25-19- The Anaheim Ducks won their seventh home contest of 2019-20 with a 3-0 win over the New York Islanders tonight at Honda Center. With their first shutout victory of the season, the Ducks have won three of their last four contests against Metropolitan Division opponents (3-1-0, 6 pts.).

11-25-19- John Gibson recorded his first shutout of the season and 19th of his career, the fourth-most in franchise history. Gibson turned aside all 26 shots to earn his eighth win of the season.

11-25-19- Ryan Getzlaf scored the game’s opening goal at 10:26 of the second period. With his third multi-point game of the season, Getzlaf extended his point streak to a season-tying five games (2-5=7). Getzlaf is averaging more than a point-per-game against the Islanders, having collected 6-13=19 points in 18 career games.

11-25-19- Cam Fowler scored his fifth goal of the season at the 13:13 mark of the third period, doubling the Ducks lead. With 1-1=2 points on the night, Fowler leads Ducks defensemen in goals (5) and points (13), co-leads in plus/minus (+5) and ranks second in assists (8). Fowler also tied a career high with a +3 rating (10th time).

11-25-19- Ondrej Kase capped the night’s scoring with a goal just 1:11 after Fowler’s tally. Including tonight’s goal, Kase has 2-1=3 points in his last three games.

11-25-19- Erik Gudbranson recorded single assists in the victory. Gudbranson also posted a career-tying +3 rating (11th time).

11-25-19- Jakob Silfverberg recorded his 1,151st shot on goal as a Duck in the opening period to surpass Steve Rucchin (1,150) for sole possession of fifth on the franchise’s all-time shots list.

11-27-19- Scoring his first career NHL goal, 22-year-old Brendan Guhle tied the game 1-1 

11-27-19- With an assist, Ryan Getzlaf pushed his point streak to a season-best six straight games (2g/6a). It gave the Ducks captain 15 points (6g/9a) in his last 15 games and his team-leading 20th point of the season.

11-27-19- Nick Ritchie earned the primary assist on Steel’s goal, giving him 100 career NHL points (38g/62a).

12-2-19- Hampus Lindholm posted a career-tying three assists (0-3=3, second time) and his 18th career multi-assist contest. Lindholm leads Ducks defensemen in assists (12) and ranks second in points (0-12=12).

12-2-19- Rickard Rakell now has points in seven of his last nine games (3-5=8) and ranks tied for second on the Ducks in scoring (8-11=19).

12-2-19- Anaheim Ducks has gone 19-6-5 in the last 30 regular-season games vs. LA. Since the start of the 2010-11 season, the Ducks have scored 119 goals to the Kings’ 107 (shootout goals excluded) in 46 games. In that time span, the two teams have posted 26-13-7 (Anaheim) and 20-18-8 (LA) records. These two clubs will meet again in 10 days back at Honda Center on Thursday, Dec. 12 (7 p.m. PT).

12-10-19-  Sam Carrick, making his season debut, earned the secondary helper on the goal with an initial shot that Wild goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen coughed up.

12-10-19- The Ducks doubled the lead midway through the first when Cam Fowler’s shot from the point on the power play sailed through a screen in front for his sixth goal of the season. The goal placed Fowler in a tie with Rakell (25) and Marty McInnis (25) for ninth on the franchise’s all-time PPG list. 

12-10-19- Max Comtois gets the game winning goal in his first NHL shootout.

12-14-19- Jakob Silfverberg scored his 20th career shootout goal and sixth career game-deciding goal in a 4-3 comeback win over the New York Rangers today at Honda Center. The Ducks recorded a season-high 42 shots on net as the club improved to 11-4-3 all-time at home vs. the Rangers.

12-27-19- The Anaheim Ducks matched the third-fastest three-goal stretch in franchise history en route to a 4-3 win over the Vegas Golden Knights at Honda Center. Anaheim found the back of the net three times in 97 seconds for the fastest three goals scored in a second period.

1-29-20- Hampus Lindholm extended the Ducks’ lead to 3-1 with a power-play goal at 5:25 of the second period. The goal marked Lindholm’s 12th career PPG, his second of the season, and extended his point streak to a season-tying three games (1-2=3, +4). Lindholm also recorded his ninth career game-winning goal, his first such goal since Mar. 25, 2018 at Edmonton.

2-25-20- Sonny Milano scored two goals, including his second career overtime tally, as the Ducks defeated the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 tonight at Honda Center. Milano is the 10th player in NHL history to score an overtime goal in their first game with a franchise (career debut or otherwise). Jarrod Skalde is the only other player in Ducks franchise history to do so on Dec 12, 1993 vs. St. Louis. Milano also became the fourth player in club history to score two goals in his Anaheim debut (also Alex Hicks on Nov. 15, 1995 vs. Colorado, Steve Thomas on Mar. 12, 2003 vs. Chicago and Dan Winnik on Jan. 19, 2013 at Vancouver). Milano’s overtime tally was his first such goal since Oct. 10, 2017 at Carolina.
